Real estate links

- Pending home sales declined in October again, although that was expected and their were actually modest gains in the Midwest. 

- Despite recently going through the biggest housing crisis since the Great Depression, a survey from NeighborWorks America shows adults have maintained a positive view of homeownership.

- Commercial investments notched another upbeat quarter, rising 26 percent in the third quarter.


St. Louis links

- The pop group One Direction will play a concert on Aug. 27 at the Edward Jones Dome — the venue's first concert since July 2003. 

- St. Louis-native and World Series hero David Freese was traded last week to the Angels, and now the future of his endorsement deal with Imo's Pizza is cloudy.


- Bud's Smokehouse & Grill, which will offer dine-in and carry-out comfort food and barbecue, is opening today in the Starr's Wine and Spirits space in Richmond Heights (1135 S. Big Bend Blvd.).
