LRC event raises $5,300 for Sunshine Kids

Last year, Prudential Select Properties set a company record by donating $55,000 to the Sunshine Kids Foundation. There is still a lot of work to do, but with the recent success of the company’s Left-Right-Center event, it looks like PSP is well on its way to topping that total in 2014.

The LRC event was an enormous success as it raised $5,300 – nearly doubling the LRC profits from last year. The event didn’t organize itself. It was put together thanks to a tremendous amount of hard work and generosity throughout the company. PSP also received great support from its sponsors – Cardinal Surveying & Mapping and High & Dry Foundation repair. The end result was a night of fun, games and laughter that also happened to benefit a great cause.

Select Leasing & Management Director Joe Kelso also recently raised an additional $200 by selling tickets to his MMA fight.

PSP has a lot more SSK events planned for the rest of the year such as the annual golf tournament, a 5K run/walk (Sunday, Aug. 24) and a paintballing event on Saturday, July 26, that the South County office has organized (contact Robin Haynes to RSVP).

PSP’s offices are also always organizing various events and fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for the Sunshine Kids. Here are several that have had success in the past:

  • Des Peres Souper Monday – $5 for a bowl of soup or salad
  • Town & Country soda sales
  • O’Fallon $50 vendor carousel
  • Des Peres Denim Days – $5 to wear denim in the office
  • Troy/St. Charles Winery Days – a portion of the winery’s profits go to the Sunshine Kids
  • Dining for a cause – local restaurants donate a portion of their profits to the Sunshine Kids
  • $5 fine/donation every time your phone rings during an office meeting

As a company, PSP has always valued community service and is proud to be associated with an organization like the Sunshine Kids that serves such a worthy cause.
