Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con

Just about all of your favorite superheroes will descend on America’s Center in downtown St. Louis for the annual comic convention. Captain Kirk (William Shatner), Batman and Robin (Adam West and Burt Ward) the Incredible hulk (Lou Ferrigno and Doctor Who (Mat Smith) will all be on hand in addition to some of the most legendary comic book creators. The event also features numerous booths selling comic-themed memorabilia. The convention runs from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Kirkwood Farmers’ Market

The Kirkwood Farmers’ Market opens up for its 38th season Friday in the heart of downtown Kirkwood at 150 East Argonne Drive. Dozens of local vendors will be on hand selling fresh produce, poultry, meat, eggs and cheese, prepared foods, baked goods, soaps, flowers and more. The Art Fair at Queeny Park

Around 140 juried artists coming from 20 or more states will be on hand for the 36th annual Art Fair at Queeny Park. The fair is one of the longest-running art fairs in the bi-state region. Rain or shine, enjoy the day inside the Greensfelder Recreation Center. The fair runs from 6 p.m. to 9 Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. http://artfairatqueenypark.com

Go Big, Go Green, Go Six Flags opening weekend

It’s opening weekend at Six Flags St. Louis and the park is offering a special discount to guests who wear green. GO! St. Louis Marathon and Family Fitness Weekend

All kinds of events are planned for GO! St. Louis’ signature event, which attracts more than 25,000 participants for 10 different races.
